Just a quick note to say I have been looking at some books on blogs even ordered some but none of them are really relevant for what we want: a good look, structure, interactive features etc. I have sent some back to get a refund as they weren't going to be super helpful.
I am now hoping to get some time before my holidays (mid-Oct to early Nov) to find out how I can get the html programming skills to turn this into a good project and if it is actually possible to do it in a blog instead of a website.

Good luck with the project Barbara, it is difficult to get the skills off books. Sorry I can't help much, just wanted to send a word of thanks to you for undertaking the task.
If you're very in Perth,Western Australia, contact the WIM group over here, it is reasonably active, with an event about once a month.
Your online forum has a well thought out plan. It’s s a good platform to share ones’ online ideas, innovations and achievements. It is educative as well and will definitely.
