Minex 2006 – the leading platform for an international business and professional dialogue on the future of Mining and Exploration in Russia and CIS

The Minex (Mining and Exploration) Forum is aimed at encouraging international dialogue and raising awareness of the issues affecting mining and exploration business of national and international companies in Russia, Central Asia and other CIS countries. The ultimate goal of the forum is to promote the evolution of the mining business in this region. This year over 500 company directors, investors and government representatives from Russia, Central Asia, CIS countries, EU states, North America, Africa, South East Asia and Australia are expected to attend the forum.

The Minex (Mining and Exploration) Forum 2006 will take place in Moscow on 4-6 October 2006 at the Info-Space Conference and Exhibition Centre, 1st Zachatievsky pereulok, 4. Presentations have been structured to present alternative views with panel discussions to comment on issues raised by the audience. Master-classes on computerised geological modelling and mine planning, and on resource-reserve classification will be available on Wednesday 4th October. Junior mining companies from Russia and CIS will be invited to display their projects and hold one-on-one discussions with potential investors.

The MINEX 2006 steering committee is chaired this year by SRK UK Ltd. The committee is represented by senior experts from SRK Consulting, SRK Russia, NBL Gold, GKZ, Mining Advisory Council, White & Case, Polyus Gold, Deloitte Russia. Minex 2006 is managed by Advantix Ltd - a UK-based business communications agency working with Russia and the CIS.

This year approximately 15% women will attend the forum and there will be women speakers, a year on year improvement. 10% discount is available for Women in Mining who wish to participate in this conference.
